BIOGRAPHY
I am a professor in the Biology Department at Carthage College in Kenosha, WI. For the last 20 years, I have taught many different Biology classes, but my specialty has recently focused on Anatomy and Physiology. I strive to make difficult concepts accessible to any curious student.
Utilizing intracellular electrophysiology and immunocytochemistry, my research interests include sensorimotor integration and central pattern generators in intact, living nervous systems, and evolutionary transitions in nervous systems that can lead to discernible behavioral changes.
I live in Grayslake IL with my husband of 18 years, our two teenage boys, an orange tabby, a dog, and a snake named Strike. Incredibly lucky to have a rewarding, full life.
